Hey!! Welcome Back to Day 3!!
How’d you go with yesterday’s adventure? Was getting in touch with your Love & Gratitude a bit easier? Were you able to clearly articulate your Top Ten Desires and what you wanted for you life? Or did you have to work a little harder on that?
Don’t worry if it all still feels a little foreign … it can sometimes take a little while for our Dream Factory to kick into top gear simply because we’ve been told for so long to stop dreaming.
But it’s the Dreamers, powered by the right type of engine that makes the world go round.
However it’s important that we understand we are all a work in progress too. If we can just keep that front and centre in our mind, it helps to reduce all the fear and worry around being right or wrong, good or bad, it helps to take away comparison and competition, and it allows us to run our own race in our own way. – which is absolutely perfect!!
And don’t allow anyone else to tell you otherwise!!
The thing is, everybody is different and everybody has different tolerances, thresholds and priorities, and neither is right or wrong, good or bad … it’s just different! And that’s ok!
And as much as we are all different, we all have different driving forces in our lives too. Some people are driven by fear, some are driven by love and passion, and others are driven by any other nameless factor.
The point is, while it’s important to understand WHAT is important to us, today we are diving deep into WHY it is important to us, and what that actually means to our results.
And get this …
We are ALL going to have a different WHY! A different motivating factor!
If you’ve got any questions, reach out here …
And so with all that being said, … Let’s dive a little deeper today!!!
But first, … Let’s review!!
Steps In Review Prompts
If you haven’t got your own Journal yet – click here to Download Today’s PDF Workbook
Step 1a – Love … Own The Power Within
Make a list of ten, twenty, fifty or a hundred things that you love, no matter how big or small. Review Day 1 instructions to refresh your memory of how to do this if you can’t remember what to do here.
Step 1b – Gratitude … The Magic
Grab your journal and write down
* 3 THINGS that make you feel happy
* 3 PEOPLE that have added value into your life
* 3 Things about YOURSELF that you can appreciate
* Something/Someone that has INSPIRED you
And if you want to take it one step further – go ahead and outline WHY that makes you feel happy, HOW they added value to your life, WHY that meant so much to you, WHY you appreciate these things about yourself, and WHY you were inspired by that person or thing.
Step 1c – Awareness … The Power of Being Present
Take a couple of deep breaths and slowly feel into your body (your feet, hands, head, your torso), BEYOND your body, BEYOND the room, … even the yucky stuff, and notice if there are any messages for you today, … or if there is any part of you that is asking for more attention.
Step 2a – Your Top Ten Desires
So, what are your Top Ten Desires, the things that you really want in your life and that really matter to you? Why are these things so important to you?
Step 2b – Your Perfect Day
And what does your Perfect Day look like? How does it play out?
From when you first wake up to when you go to sleep at night … and all the bits in the middle.
Be as descriptive as you can and be sure to include all the senses – what you see, hear, smell, feel, touch, and taste, who you’re with, what you’re doing … you get the drift.
And for Today’s Adventure …
Step 3 – Discover your WHY
As much as we would like it to be otherwise, life is all about challenges.
But it’s not so much about the challenge as it is about how we choose to respond to those challenges, and whether we decide if it’s too hard or not.
When we are faced with life’s challenges, we sometimes have to Dig Deep to pluck up the courage and the energy to give it one more shot.
But that shot gets harder and harder to take each time UNLESS we have a deeper REASON to get up and have another go – commonly called your “WHY”.
If I asked you to walk across a plank between two high-rises for $20, chances are you wouldn’t bother – the level of difficulty for the reward is generally too high.
But if I told you that your child was in that building and it was burning on the other side, chances are you wouldn’t even think about the $20 – you’d probably heroically run across it, get the child and run back.
So this is where having your own strong WHY will really help spur yourself into action so that you can get yourself back on track when the going gets tough – WHY do you want what you want? WHY is it important to you?
WHY, WHY, WHY?
And if you find yourself struggling to stay focused because of the stuff going on around you, then perhaps it’s time to work deeper into your WHY.
Go 7 levels deep as you ask “But WHY is this important? … And why is THAT important? … And why is THAT important?”
And as you work you way through those 7 levels (or maybe even deeper!!!), you may surprise yourself at what is ACTUALLY your driving force.
As you go deep with your WHY, it will help you decide AGAIN and AGAIN each and every time you get knocked over, that you want to get back up.
The more you practice getting back up, the easier it is TO get back up – and funnily enough, once you’ve mastered the art, life naturally seems to get better.
Until one day you realise that things that would normally bring you down don’t actually have any effect on you anymore.
So really tap into your WHY – what is it that really drives you? Is it based on Desire? Or based on Fear?
Try to structure it so that you focus on the POSITIVE reasons of WHY you want Transformation.
Somehow if we are driven by Fear, we tend to bring more reasons why we can’t seem to have what we want.
And if at this stage you don’t even feel like you have a WHY, maybe just tap into the simplicity of making a choice – do you want to be having such a hard time all the time?
Or would you prefer to learn the skills that will help you keep getting back up?
The choice is yours.
And when you’ve become clear, …
Write or print out a good clean copy of your deeper positively stated “WHY”.
Evening Review …
What is TODAY’s best Gratitude? And why?
Review your Top Ten Desires and your Perfect Day each morning and night. Read them out loud with feeling until they really start to come alive for you.
You could also put these lists under your pillow while you sleep so you can take your Desires and Perfect Day into your dream state – a much nicer way to go off to sleep wouldn’t you say?
This works really well with your favourite sleep music playing softly in the background and/or your favourite essential oil diffusing.
While holding onto your Desires and your vision of your Perfect Day, bring your positively stated WHY to mind now too.
Really focus on it and really allow it to sink deeply into your heart.
Until Next Time …
Love, J. xxOOxx
